About the project:
I started this project during Covid after my Shopify store failed. When I realised that creating an online platform and advertising it to an extent to which people trust and buy from it will require the type of capital and marketing skills I didn't possess yet. That's why, I decided to venture into POD platforms - which people already trusted and bought from.
In totalality, I made about 500 differrent designs in various niches. Some of my designs were inspired by the current trends and some were niche specific like scuba diving, gardening, coffee, LGBTQ, etc. With my digital efforts, i managed to secure over 500 followers on Instagram. These Streams make me a few bucks here and there even though I have stopped running ads. But the income is not substantial. It adds up to about $20 per year.
Design & Product Creation:
Redbubble Shop:
I've uploaded a diverse collection of over 200 designs to my Redbubble shop, catering to a wide range of tastes and interests.
Earthlings Merch :
I established "Earthlings Merch" and a Scuba Diving related store on Teespring featuring over 300 unique designs combined.
Frankly Wearing:
The designs I have posted here cater specifically to an Indian audience. I have over 40 designs on this platform.
Marketing & Growth Strategies:
Research and analysis:
I used tools like Redbubble popular tags, Bubble spider, and many more to figure out which designs or niches did well on POD platforms. I also analyzed many designs and search terms before starting work.
Platform SEO & Optimization:
I implemented search engine optimization (SEO) best practices on all my POD platforms to enhance discoverability of my designs in organic search results.
Social Media Marketing:
I created a dedicated Instagram account for my POD ventures, utilizing engaging video content to showcase my designs and connect with potential customers. The Diver's World account was used to promote the teesprings page for scuba diving designs as well as The diver's world website.
Paid Advertising:
I've experimented with Facebook advertising to drive traffic to my POD stores and generate sales. Analyzing the results has helped me fine tune my knowledge in digital marketing.
